Orlando, FL (WLTX) - Tuesday Gamecock fans spent New Years Eve getting ready for the Capital One Bowl by attending a pep rally.
The pep rally included the Gamecock marching band, Cocky and the cheerleaders. Thousands of fans attended the event and were excited about the big game.
Originally fans were informed that Coach Spurrier would not be able to make the event, but he later made a surprise visit.
"As I travel around the country the first thing that I brag about is winning 18 straight games in Williams Brice Stadium and it's because of all of you fans," said Spurrier.
Gamecock "Mic Man" and SGA President Chase Mizzell lead the pep rally and is pretty confident that the team will win.
"We are going to win, ain't not question about it, we got boys with the most heart, we got fans with the most support, we got coaches that are smart, we got a university that is behind them, the Carolina family is going to pull us through," said Mizzell.
