Back in late July, prosecutors say law enforcement discovered an online post for a potential juvenile being offered for sex. Officers contacted the advertisement and set up an meeting at a local hotel.
When they arrived, court documents show they found a 16-year-old girl who'd early been reported as missing. The girl told officers that she'd been working as a prostitute for a few days. Investigators then were able to connect her to the trio of suspects.
Their arrest came as part of a nationwide FBI crackdown on sex trafficking called "Operation Cross Country." During the operation, 150 people were arrested and 105 children were rescued from prostitution.
