Orangeburg County, SC (WLTX) - Orangeburg County deputies say two suspects put marijuana under a car hood to try and conceal the drugs from officers.

Deputies arrested 23-year-old Fredrick A. Shuler and 23-year-old Edwin Ervin Hamilton on drug manufacturing charges.

Last Saturday, investigators say they pulled over a vehicle that Shuler and Hamilton were in on Terrace Road near Cannon Bridge Road. Deputies say they were suspicious because the car was swerving.

Officers say they smelled marijuana coming from the car, and used one of their K-9 officers to help search the vehicle. The dog led officers to the hood, where investigators say they found a plastic container with marijuana under the hood, along with a plastic scale.
