Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A correctional officer at the Department of Juvenile Justice is being accused of stabbing a student with a fork.

A warrant has been issued for 31-year-old Naja Woods on a charge of assault and battery third degree.

DJJ officials say Woods stabbed the female student on the Columbia campus back on December 17th. According to a warrant, Woods hit the victim in the arm, shoulder, chest, and face with a metal fork, which put scratches and puncture wounds on the girl.

The student was treated at the on-site infirmary for her injuries.

DJJ officials say they are in the process of firing Woods.
