Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The super PAC 'Ready For Hillary' has plans for a Columbia event to lay groundwork for Clinton's potential 2016 Presidential Run.
The PAC, or Political Action Committee, has already conducted other low-cost fundraising events, in Iowa and New Hampshire, and will host their event at 701 Whaley's event space on February 20th.
The price of admission? Just $20.16.
State Rep. Bakari Sellers has been named the official host of the event, and "special guests," yet to be announced, according to the registration form on the ReadyForHillary.com website.
One boon for Sellers is the potential national spotlight on him individually. As CNN reported, Sellers as co-host holds significance. A young African-American state legislator and early supporter of President Obama's first run at the White House, Sellers' in-state image may benefit and support his run for Lt. Governor.
The state of South Carolina's Democratic Presidential Primary showed overwhelming support for Obama in 2008, when Clinton suffered a resounding defeat in-state. She opted to head to Tennessee before she even knew the final tally of votes.
Sellers was quoted as saying, "I'm proud and honored people in her camp would involve me in this process," and when asked about a direct endorsement of Clinton for President in 2016, Sellers said "It's hard to say you would endorse somebody who isn't running yet... It's early, but I do support these efforts."
Tickets to the event are $20.16, and available on the super PAC's website. (http://bit.ly/1eFRSwo)
