(WLTX) - USC moved up in the AP poll and stayed flat in the coaches' survey, while Clemson inches up one notch in both rankings.

The Gamecocks are eight in the Associated Press poll, and ninth in the USA TODAY Sports/Coaches. Last week they were ninth in each of those rankings.

Clemson is 11 in both polls. They were number 12 last week.

The teams both benefitted from Arkansas' stunning loss to Louisiana-Monroe. With the loss, the Razorbacks dropped to 21 in the coaches and out of the AP poll entirely.

USC easily bested East Carolina Saturday in a 48-10 win. Clemson also roughed up their opponent, knocking out Ball State 52-27.
