Clemson, SC (WLTX) -- Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd is the ACC's overall Player of the Year, as well as the Offensive Player of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday.

Boyd averaged 336.8 yards of total offense per game, he rushed for nine touched downs (and a two-point-conversion), and threw 34 touchdown passes.

Boyd received 20 votes in the Overall Player of the Year voting. North Carolina running back Giovani Bernard received 19 votes. Bernard led the league in rushing with 122.8 yards per game.

Clemson issued a news release where coach Dabo Swinney commented on Boyd. "He has broken just about every record out there to the point where he is breaking his own records.  I really believe he is the best quarterback in the nation," Swinney said. "This award means a lot to him because he has great respect for the players and teams in this league.  He has also been a great leader all season.  He is very deserving."
