USC Strength Coach Pens Powerlifting Book

Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Dan Austin has spent 10 years as an assistant strength coach at USC. In addition to working with the football team, Austin is in charge of the strength and conditioning program for the Gamecock men's soccer team.

He has been powerlifting for 30 years and in 2011, Austin was voted into the Powerlifting Hall of Fame. Now, Austin has made the transition to author.

Austin and Missouri assistant strength coach Bryan Mann co-wrote the book "Powerlifting - The Complete Guide to Technique, Training and Competition".

Austin dropped by the News19 studios to discuss the book and what he hopes people will learn from it in terms of improving their physical and mental well-being.
