Columbia, SC (WLTX) - South Carolina running back Mike Davis is a semi-finalist for the Doak Walker Award, the trophy given to the nation's top running back.
Davis has rushed for 1,058 yards so far this year, becoming just the 8th player in Gamecocks history to rush for over 1,000 yards.
Davis is 11th in the country and first in the SEC in rushing yards per game, with 117.6 per contest. He also leads the team with 10 touchdowns.

Finalists for the award will be announced on November 25th, and the winner will be announced on December 12th.
