Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Avery Armstrong is more than the usual well-rounded athlete.
Avery was the trigger man for the Dreher football team which was under the direction of first-year head coach Treigh Sullivan.
The coach says he leaned heavily on Armstrong this season as the Blue Devils finished 6-4 and were one region one from qualifying for the playoffs.
Avery, who also is a member of the soccer team, plays the piano and guitar in his spare time.
He says it provides him a release from the daily grind of sports and school. He has played the piano in a few concerts, but mostly considers it a hobby.
