Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Rockets have waived center Marcus Camby and guard Reggie Williams to reach the roster limit of 15.

Camby signed with Houston in late July after the Toronto Raptors bought out his contract earlier in the month. Toronto had acquired the 17-year veteran as part of the trade that sent forward Andrea Bargnani to the New York Knicks.

The 39-year-old Camby appeared in 24 games for the Knicks last season and averaged 1.8 points with 3.3 rebounds. He was traded to New York in July 2012 after spending the latter part of the 2011-12 campaign with the Rockets.

Houston acquired Camby on March 15, 2012 in a deal with Portland and he averaged 7.1 points with 9.3 rebounds in 19 games, including 13 starts, during his short stint with the Rockets.

The Massachusetts product was selected by the Raptors with the second overall pick of the 1996 draft and has career averages of 9.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 973 career games (786 starts) with the Raptors, Knicks, Nuggets, Clippers, Trail Blazers and Rockets.

Williams, a four-year veteran from VMI, has averaged 8.6 points and 1.6 assists in 177 NBA games with Golden State and Charlotte.
