Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Red Bull New York reclaimed the lead in the race for the Supporters' Shield on Sunday after rolling to a comfortable 3-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium.

New York opened the scoring in record time as it took just nine seconds for the club to find the back of the net. Right off the kickoff, Tim Cahill raced under a long ball, flicked it to himself and smashed it home on the half-volley to record the fastest goal in MLS history.

After the break, the Red Bull struck again in the 65th minute as Peguy Luyindula headed a poor clearance from Houston back into the mixer and defender Ibrahim Sekagya was left unmarked to nod it past Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall.

The Red Bulls finished the job 15 minutes from time with a bit of good fortune as a clearance by Houston struck defender Corey Ashe, which allowed Bradley Wright-Phillips to collect the loose ball in the penalty area and slot it home for his first goal of the campaign.

The result sees the Red Bulls climb back to the top of the league standings with 56 points, one better than Sporting Kansas City, with one game remaining.

Despite the loss, Houston can still advance to the postseason with a draw against D.C. United next week and a draw or loss by Philadelphia and a loss by New England.
